Playing the Qin, Liu Changqing (Tang Shi #228)
Friday, 31 May 2019 08:13Carrying clear from seven strings,
Silent I hear cold wind through pines.
Although I love this ancient style,
Not many people play it today.
弹琴
泠泠七弦上,
静听松风寒。
古调虽自爱,
今人多不弹。
The first “I” is unstated, but the second explicit. The seven-string qin, a type of zither, is today called guqin.
