An experiment (okay, finger exercise) in drottkvaett, an Icelandic form with accentual meter and a complicated pattern of alliteration and assonance. This is the only one I've written that comes close to successful, and that's if you're charitable about the last line (I was trying to say "culture that's ignored now," but was precluded by the form).---L.
