Original by Ariwara no Motokata. This brings us firmly back to the main chronological sequence, with the initial arrival of the geese mentioned in #191. Not a brilliant poem, but it's first Motokata's come even close to decent -- mark him as batting 1 for 5 with a single that dribbled just past the shortstop.matsu hito ni
